Looks great! Unfortuneatly I am STILL waiting for my P47!
Was told a couple of days ago I may not even see it this year. Apprently there issues with the factory getting building supplies such as balsa wood, plus the usuall COVID problems with staff. Not sure if I am going to wait till next year or buy the new Phoenix Models P-51. Doesnt look as good as the P47 but it does come with electric retracts and a couple of other unique features. Or I could buy from somewhere overseas that has one and risk frieght damage.

You were lucky as nobody is getting any out of the factory, but I’m sure USA will get them before us. Biden probably ordered one 🤣

Great video!
Never heard of bad flying P47. All the ones I have flown from the TopFlite 50cc to Eflite electrics all fly great. I decided to wait till stock arrives which could be late this year or early next year

In the meantime I have made 25 flights with my P47 and I am very satisfied. I adapted the cowl better to the model with a bit of weathering.

Hi
I intend to build the FG90R3 into the model. Would that also fit under the hood?
Greetings from Germany Werner

The Saito FG-90R3 is to be powered with a ring muffler from Meyer with an extra long outlet under the bonnet and a 4-blade adjustable propeller from Ramoser.

the Saito FG60 r3 is with its outer diameter of 220 already on the limit. Unfortunately, the FG90 with 250 mm will not fit.

Ums 70 is 230 mm diameter, so nope, UMS radials won't fit.

Default No P47 for me :(

No stocks of BH P47s until possibly August this year (maybe) BH are not answering emails from even distributors here in Australia. So, I decided on the Phoenix F4U Corsair 60cc which I’m convinced it’s out the same factory as Black Horse, which makes sense as brothers own it according to my LHS.
Anyway the Corsair looks amazing and I’m sure it will fly very well. I’ll buy a BH P47 maybe when they are back in stock.
Good luck to all the builders out there!

I will try to expand the hood so that the FG-90R3 fits under the hood. I ordered a replacement hood. If it doesn't work, I can install another one.

I am back on my BH P-47. Paint scheme and scale details are pain of allmost all ARF kits. Actual cockpit is not bad, but it does not look good to me. I wanted to do some new CAD designs, but at first I tried to fit our P-47 cockpit side panels. It seems, that the cockpit I designed for GS TopFlite will work also with the BH P-47. I will have to trim the side panels or do new cockpit box.

I wonder if you would be satisfied, at times, with the cockpit on a real one. Ever the perfectionist. Its why I like your stuff lol.

Some progress on the cockpit. I'm working on new instrument panel design. Wasn't easy to keep scale size according to blueprints and fit it into the BH P47 cockpit room.

Well looks like I'm back on the P47 bandwagon again!
My P47 I ordered back in April last year arrived without notice. What this means is I am selling my Corsair airframe and fitting out the P47 with the that gear (which was meant for the P47 anyway) Shame I have to sell the Corsair but personally I think P47s fly better the Corsairs (as far as models go)

do the P47, put the corsair on a stand and in wingbags till you have enough to outfit it, then fly both...Wives adjust to planes everywhere.....eventually.

The instrument panel CAD design is almost done. Some details are missing. Probably I will not cut the dorsal fin on fuselage, so the instrument panel is inspired by D-30. That will be only semi-scale instrument panel, because I had to modified the shape and change some dimensions to fit it cockpit room.
