I went through 4 on my Corsair and now 2 on the P47. I’ve replaced them with Phoenix motors again but one is acting up.
So, I’ve ordered JP Hobby ER-150s and a JP Hobby controller as well. These are way better and smoother operation than the supplied ones.
Will post some pics as soon as they arrive.
I have subsequently had the same problem. They like to spit out the worm drive screw. Getting expensive to replace props. I'd like to see pictures of your set up and how it worked out.

What size packs did you use? Did you have to add and lead for CG?

Day ago I repainted the pilot bust and put the pilot back into P47 cockpit. He looks very big to me, what do you think? Also noticed his 8th AF badge, so it would be difficult to find some nice paint scheme. Only dark blue 61st FS or blue 63rd FS. Not sure how about 62nd FS D-30 or M paint schemes.

What brand pilot busts? Looks like two different ones. Both look good to me and I don't think they look too large. They are well positioned. I hate to see people put their pilots all leaned back against the headrest like they are going to take a nap.

You are right, there are two different busts. The bigger one is Aces of Iron the smaller one is from VQ model F8F kit. I put the smaller one into cockpit to see different between them.
In attached pictures you can see real Jug to compare size of the pilots in their office.

I don't know why they bother with the holes in the sheeting. It's just more work for them and us, if you want to fiberglass and paint a different scheme.
On a 24lb plane all the holes they cut probably don't add up to more than an ounce or two.

Wow Jiri. You have done a really bad color on this cockpit.
I would have expected better from someone who comes onto other people’s threads and criticises their work.

Hi!! Great to hear from you!! I was worried if there is still all good with you since you disappeared from some threads and FB.
The RAL color is not the perfect, but hard to copy Republic factory line colors. I have only several pictures, but I would say, that the cockpit looks much better now.
Also I used P47 mixture quadrant in my P47. The P51 mixture was not good to me.
Later I may add also the cowl flaps controller, what do you think, would it be good detail in the cockpit?

Another shot bubble top cockpit. Very clear to see, different green paint on the map case then on the rest of cockpit. Probably the first P47 cockpit with black painted seat.

Do not hesitate to come and ask me for some shot of T-Bolt if you would decide to start another P-47 project!
One of the attached picture shows restored cockpit.

Default Saito FG73r5

Looks like the Saito FG73r5 will fit, mind you I will be using an extension on my shaft but it could probably just fit without...

Engine pushed forward into the cowling as much as it goes..

Puuuuurfect fit

I suppose it would fit also without the extenstion. Good to know, that there is another option of the engine for that Jug.

I had no luck with the tailgear and the gear door setup with the included pushrods, so i just used a couple of springs instead. Now the doors sit more correctly and work flawlessly.

I'm on the final stage of the plane and realize that my tailgear moves opposite of my mains, is there any way to reverse this? Just switch the polarity of the connector at the box? Just afraid to toast the motor if that is not possible, any tips appreciated 👍

Ok, found out from another source that one can reverse polarity on the wire from the gear to the box no problem, so issue solved..
