Default Minaland 3DP 1/6 Renault R35

Minialand released some initial photos of his new Renault R35 light tank prototype work which will be offered in 1/6 scale just like his recently released FT-17. No word yet on expected release date but expected mid-summer.

That's his initial print which surprised me to see how far along he was in his design since I was feeding him reference material just two months earlier. He's already stated that he'll make proper hubs like shown in the first photo to cover the wheel screws. If you hadn't seen his recent FT-17 on Cults, you'll want to check it out.

Great! In 1939, there were about 50 of them used in Poland (although only a few of them took part in the fighting). Later, our tank brigade used the R-35 in France in 1940. I will probably scale it down to 1/16

Default R35 Progress & German Variant Option Coming

This week's update as the hull being assembled & finish work begins.

Once the R35 base model is complete & uploaded to Cults, he'll begin work on a German variant, the 4.7 cm PaK(t) (Sfl.) auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.35 R 731. This will be offered as an option similar to how he did with the FT-17 octagon turret module with files specifically needed for the conversion.

You can follow his progress on Facebook.

Is he going to make one of the 4.7 Pak versions - I mean actually build one? That would be cool to see.

Yea, he'll offer a set of files to covert the R35 to the German variant once he finishes and posts the base model, the exact same approach like he did for his recent FT-17. Hadn't got into details yet but expect he'll offer STL print as well PDF templates for one to build the casement out of plasticard.

I plan to build both the original 1940 R35 & 4.7 cm PaK(t) (Sfl.) auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.35 R 731.

But of course which follows his earlier FT-17. Expect it won't be the last given what I know is already in the works after this one.

It's beginning to look a bit more French.

What until you see whats to come down the road once he finishes this & the VW Combi he's put on hold while completing the R35. Will be a fun year ahead for anyone interested in large scale RC military vehicles.

Nope sorry, he's only on FB where you'll find hundreds of photos.

He posts files on Cults where you can see some of his work: https://cults3d.com/en/users/MINIALAND57/creations

Yea, am looking forward to getting the files for this one.

I came across a postwar version in Lebanon that mounted a 2 pounder. Interesting little beast even if wasn't the most reliable.

Thumbs up Minialand's R35 Update

Minialand's 1/6 R35 update that show off some nice details for this release due out next month. Keep in mind this is his working prototype so some details that are lacking as well fastener shown are not final.

The German beutepanzer 4.7cm Pak(t) (Sfl) auf Fgst.Pz.Kpfw.35 R 731(f) module will follow the R35 files he'll upload in July. Expect that to be available sometime in late August.

Bob, 4.7cm PaK version has been released & its nice. I downloaded the files last week & have sent off for printing. Look for a Panzerjager I to come later in the fall once he finishes a 1/6 Ford GPA that he's been working on.
