iX20 help requested.
Horizon's new customer service policy really bites. I've been trying for two days straight now to get some assistance with my iX20 not assigning channels to switches properly and I can't seem to get any help. If anyone here know this transmitter and is willing to help, please call 501-590-8716 and ask for Andy. Much appreciated.

Go to RC Groups and post your questions on the IX20 thread in the RC Jets forum. There are several HH Reps answering IX20 questions and helping. They probably already answered the question on their 400+ pages in that thread.
I agree that HH's service sucks! But the guys on the forum are great at helping.

Thanks. The issue is the radio not responding on the monitor to an assigned channel to a switch, on an airplane program transferred from a DX18. This is for my 1/5 BVM F18. I think the error is in translation from one radio to the next. I'm going to rebuild the program on the ix20 because adding a new airplane and assigning the exact same channel and switch seems to work fine.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

I programmed every model on the IX20. It took a long time because I set up the plane and measured things as I went to ensure the trim and throws were correct. But, what else is there to do in the winter in MI?
But seriously, ... RC Groups is the place to be for the IX.

Ok folks, I found the culprit. This was the first time I used my ix20 on the FG18 which was previously programmed for the DX18. Apparently thinking it would be correct, I activated the "DX18 Compatibility mode" Once I deactivated that mode everything worked as it was supposed to. Apparently the DX18 compatibility mode is for going from ix20 to DX20 for sharing ix20 programs to DX20. Not the other way around. Issue solved!
Thanks for the calls. Andy

You don't need a card, just bluetooth the 2 radios together and transfer the models

For some reason Spektrum still has not fixed the IX20 so that you can use a separate SD card to transfer models w/o using additional software. There is an internal SD card/folder in the IX. Somehow this complicates the process and a potential fix. PITA! Bluetooth is the best way to transfer from one IX to another IX. But the two Txers do in fact have to be the same software rev. You could also use the USB cable to transfer models to a computer and then transfer them to the second IX. Another PITA! You have to wonder why they even have an SD slot in the IX. However, there are a lot of nice features on the IX that make giving up the SD card transfer a worthwhile PITA!
Best advice is to go to RCGroups and read the 400+ pages of IX20 posts, if you have the time. Maybe start at page 200 because those pages are based on comments and questions about more recent software revs, etc. Or, ...Try searching the thread for specific issues, etc. They have answered almost all of your questions there.
