Kram,

I"ve seen the same effect ... if the plug on the cap is too short, or the neck of the tank is too long, there will be no room for a bulge in the rubber plug and it will squeeze the plug...

I did cut my baffles to let extra air flow to the exhaust ... not sure if it matters, just thought it was a good idea... You can see it at the bottom of this pic.

Yes, agreed, it's the dry-sump lubrication that is one very cool feature of the 3W. Hope they release it...

I have about half a dozen 3W engines. They generally run well, and I have continued to purchase them desipte some problems with crankcase leaks, ignition issues, and warped plastic carb...

In my many many flights with two 250 radials on two different airplanes, only one time did I have one quit in flight. It is an interesting story...

About half way through a flight the engine...

The 3W radial is indeed interesting. It has been on and off their website for 3-4 years now. Whether or not it ever sees the light of day is unknown to me, it would be interesting if someone here had...

Yes, Mitch .. the very same .. the throttle extended.

Whe mine came loose the results were much more benign!!!

I use the factory throttle arm setup with the two nuts, but secured by green locktite .. and a ball link screwed onto the arm (also with locktite ... blue here since you sometimes have to...

Oh yes, the microphone plug on the ignition can vibrate loose. So tighten it up and wrap w/tape. I passed that gem along to Scott, but I got it from Mike Barbee! Hope Mike and Brian O'Meara join the...

Here is what I have gleaned after 3 years running two 250's (one on a 3W Bearcat with a 30x18 Menz prop, one on a 1/3 scale B-USA...
