RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

When I got the engine a couple of weeks ago I talked to a buddy about wrapping the exhaust and he thought it was a bad idea. He didn't make since as to why but I would be curious to see if it had...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

It works like a simple pressure relief valve. The fuel comes from the tank through a filter, to the pump intake, out the pump discharge (marked by the arrow) through another filter to the carburetor...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

My buddy's leg was pitch black, like lamp black,...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

Samuel, your Corsair looks great. I wish I could see the maiden in person : )

I started up the 150 yesterday. The prop is a 24x16 from Vogelsang.
Straight from the factory with the pump it...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

Bob,

I've heard the turbulator does help on all of them except the current production run of 150s...that's from Detlef. You can get them from Goetz at Vogelsang-Aeroscale.com

If you don't...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

I'm going to make a set of valve adjusting nuts. The fit is a bit loose but I know I may need some extras.
I found some 7/32" hex stock but you could use 5.5mm too. The hole in the center is 3mm...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

I made a Moki 150 template if anyone wants it. Verify the carb opening and throtle opening; I adjusted them after the fact.

My wife just openned it. Strange I told her if the box looks damaged then open it, otherwise we'll open it together. She just sent pictures of the opened box...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

I just ordered a 150 from Vogelsang.

While talking with Detlef and Goetz I found out if the 150 was made after September 2009 then the turbulator will not help and may affect the performance....

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

Thanks Noah, that's what I was looking for. I started thinking though, I can't glue the firewall till after I mount the engine (well, I could but it would be a PIA).

Solo props is a...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

Vogelsang sent me that drawing and if you do some quick measurements then it's a bit long. However, since the prop is not a straight piece, the pitch brings it closer to my cowl so my question is...

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence

Can someone give me a measurement.
I'm looking at a Moki 150.
I need to know if it will fit longitudinally (from the firewall to the cowl).
The distance from the firewall to the front of the...
