Welcome to Club SAITO !
Yeah, maybe. Gary has designed and fabricated the finest drive washer puller ever though. I guess there's some room for nit-picking but yes, I get your point too, I have to run what I brung. No problem removing a drive washer with a conventional two-jaw puller in my shop here. I would love to see some specialized RC engine rebuilding tools commercially offered but no, ain't hapn'n out there.
Been there, done that too. Nothing more satisfying than seeing a drive washer finally come loose after driving the crank out to hades and back. Big f ing hammer? Yes, but at least I used a big f ing plastic dead blow hammer. That was my NOP at one time and I have to say; I still don't see a thing wrong with it....lol

Commercially offered?
Not likely but I have made over 30 and given one to every person polite enough to ask for one rather than toss sour grapes at it.
Gary
silly boy I appreciate a well design tool as much as anyone
the trouble I see is the cost effectiveness of such a well designed puller. If you had to produce your puller and market it. How much would you say your puller would cost in the RC engine world?
Just guessing but some where in the neighborhood 200 dollars.

First off, please reserve the "boy" stuff for people who will excuse your misuse of the term.
If I were to charge, I could make and direct sell the pullers in batches . Easily sell for less than $45.
As I said, over thirty made and I haven't collected anything outside of many honest "thank you s".
Everybody has a horrible day ,
This has been one of them.

Well here's a little something to cheer you up gary and take your mind off turning water into wine and multiplying fishes and loaves...since capt is going to paint a saito pink for mike i think the least mike could do is follow through with a decent flying outfit and maybe a matching flightbox
ps don't feel like you have to send him your own outfit

Don't stress mike i'll paint one pink and send it to you
Anyone remember saito's gold plated fa30? and if so who bought one...
Capt the finish on your blue metallic engine looks nearly satin. Did you use a so called direct gloss rattle can ie no clear top coat over the blue metallic ?
ps years ago a spraypainter friend was working in Dubai and was shown a 24 carat gold bmw m3 owned by a prince, money no object, well, my wallet would object. perhaps even get suicidal and take me with it

Now that is pink! Looks like its a perfect match for Circus Pink Monokote too. No cowling on this plane that engine is too pretty to hide! What size it so I need to know what to build?
